I am pleased to inform you that, starting from January 1st, 2022, Functioning Psychology has a
contract with the Municipalities of Amstelveen, Weesp, Diemen, Uithoorn, and Ouder-Amstel to
provide High Specialized Child Care (ESJH, Segment B).
What this means for families:
All treatment and evaluation costs for children and families living in these municipalities are
covered by the local government.
Since January 1, 2015, psychological help for children aged 0 to 18 years is reimbursed by the
municipality.
There are no costs involved for the family; however, a referral is required from a family doctor,
youth physician, Parent-Child Team, or youth protection services.
Referral and Process:
- If you agree to this funding, we can assist with the referral process.
- The referral should include details such as:

AGB Code: 94065111
Important Note for Families Outside Specific Municipalities:
If your family resides outside of the mentioned municipalities, the fees for assessment and
treatment can still be arranged. In such cases:
Fees may be paid privately, directly to the practice.
Alternatively, you may seek reimbursement through an international insurance plan, subject to your
insurance policy terms.
Conditions for reimbursement and payments vary depending on your insurance provider; please
check with your insurance company for coverage details.
Assessment Procedure
A comprehensive assessment typically requires 2 to 3 sessions to complete. After these sessions,
you will receive a detailed psychological report and a tailored treatment plan, which will include
specific therapy goals. The psychological report will include the outcomes of the testing sessions,
any diagnoses made, the proposed treatment plan, and recommendations for the classroom or the
workplace if applicable.
Private Funding:
The full psychological assessment process involves approximately 8 to 9 hours of work, including
sessions, scoring, and report writing, charged at an hourly rate of €130,00.
Additional costs for testing materials will vary depending on the case. Feel free to contact us for an
estimate.
